Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) mobile phone unit Pelephone Communications Ltd. will soon put several dozen employees on early retirement, sources inform “Globes.” The program is part of the company’s collective work agreement with its workers’ committee and was coordinated with it. Pelephone declined to state the volume of benefits that the retirees would receive, but it is likely to be the same as the benefits granted by the company in previous cases of early retirement
The collective labor agreement gives Pelephone the authority to grant voluntary retirement according to its own considerations. The company has apparently decided that now, before the upcoming Jewish holidays, is the right time to carry it out.
