There is another wave of layoffs at Hot Mobile Ltd., three weeks before Passover. Sources inform ”Globes” that 40 headquarters and sales employees will be fired within the coming days. The company has 700 employees.

Hot Telecommunication Systems Ltd. unit Hot Mobile Ltd.today launched a NIS 9.90 unlimited calls and Internet monthly plan for four months. After four months, the cost of the plan will jump ten-fold to NIS 99 a month.

Hot Mobile Ltd.has launched a NIS 49 per month unlimited all-inclusive mobile phone plan. The plan includes overseas calls with a NIS 49 charge for six months for those who join via the Internet, and for four months for those joining at sales centers. After that period subscribers will pay NIS 99 per month.

The upstart mobile carriers Golan Telecom and HOT Mobile say they have together signed up half a million customers in the five months that they have been operating.

In an attempt to boost the number of subscribers, HOT Mobile Ltd.today launched a new campaign in which it offer people who switch from other carriers to begin paying only in January 2013. In effect, the carrier is offering two months of service for free.
