CFO of Israel’s Bezeq Telecom resigns -company

Oct 17 (Reuters) – The chief financial officer of Bezeq Israel Telecom will leave his post at Israel’s largest telecoms group at the end of 2012, a statement from the company said on Wednesday.

Mobile app testing co Perfecto Mobile raises $15m

Cloud-based mobile app testing developer Perfecto Mobile Inc. has raised $15 million in its third financing round. Globespan Capital Partners led the round, and was joined by Carmel Ventures, Vertex Venture Capitaland the Waisbein Fund. The company will use the proceeds to finance its business growth and develop its products. Perfecto Mobile, which was founded in 2006 by CEO Eran Yariv and Yoram Mizrahi and Jacky Allal, has raised $36 million to date including the latest financing round. Vodafone plc is a strategic investor.

Audiocodes wins Bezeq business routers deal

Voice Over IP (VoIP) developer AudioCodes Ltd. (Nasdaq: AUDC; TASE: AUDC) has been chosen by Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) to provide high performance data services to its business customers. Bezeq has selected Audiocodes’ Mediant Multi-Service Business Routers (MSBR).

Three VPs to leave in Partner restructuring

Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) has announced a restructuring of the company as a way of contending with the challengingly competitive mobile telephony market in Israel. Three senior vice presidents will leave the company. According to Partner, “The moves are part of the company’s commitment to strengthening its focus on the customer, on quality of service, on efficiency, and on innovation in service and operations.”

Haim Saban contacts Hutchison over Partner deal

Haim Saban, who is in talks to buy control of Orange franchisee Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) has contacted former Chinese controlling shareholder Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. (HKSE: 0018) to discuss the deal and the debt situation. Sources inform “Globes” that Scailex Corporation (TASE: SCIX; Pink Sheets:SCIXF), through which Ilan Ben-Dov currently controls Partner, owes Hutchison $300 million.

Partner seeks to sell and lease back cellular sites

Sources inform ”Globes” that Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) controlling shareholder Ilan Ben-Dov is trying to sell the company’s cellular sites and lease them back. Saban Capital Group, which is in talks to acquire control of Partner, knows of the intention, which is aimed at consolidating the other mobile carriers into a joint network or to enable wide collaboration at cellular sites.

Pelephone CEO: Unionization has hit our financial results

Pelephone Communications Ltd.CEO Gil Sharon warns that unionization of the mobile carrier’s workforce under the aegis of the Histadrut (General Federation of Labor in Israel) is harming its financial results. In a letter to employees, he said that the company had lost its business focus, and he called on the employees to resume their hard work to repair the damage caused by the unionization battle in the past few months.

Like all Israel’s telecom company stocks, Partner’s share price is far from its peak, while Saban has sensed changes in the market’s structure as well as the streamlining being carried out. He feels that these will do the trick and he can see a reasonable return on his investment over the medium term.
